Welcome
Would you like to connect with other members of our community through an art for healing project? You do not have to be an “artist.” You just need the desire to share your heart, make friends and be a little creative. In 2007-2008 nine women who were moms, a step-mother and aunt of CF people spent nine months creating courage dolls for each other. The commitment was to spend a few hours each month creating a part of a doll, writing in a journal and mailing it on to the next participant. Then, the excitement, a doll arrived on each door step to spend time with and create another. Interested? It is easy to begin a project and you will love it!!!!!
Funds to help CF programs
A self-published book of our 2008 project is available for purchase. It includes photos, and excerpts from the journals. This attractive and meaningful book is available for $65. A portion of the sale of the book will go to support programs of Cystic Fibrosis Research, Inc. (CFRI).
Organizer
Robin Modlin, M.A., invited the group to participate and provided the format for its success. Robin is a mom of two daughters, one with CF. The creative process is an important way for Robin to understand and heal her own life. As an artist and interfaith chaplain she won the 2004 International Blair Sadler Healing Arts Award for "Prayer Flags for Sophia" another participatory project.
