How to Begin

One person is designated as the project leader…….

If you want to start a project, first identify a group who is willing to participate. The number of participants will determine how many months your project will go on. Decide on what is to be accomplished each month. For example, if you have 6 people it may include, first the head, the body, arms, legs, hat, then other accessories. You decide how it goes.

Next make up a routing list that shows the tasks each month with each participant’s name and address. You can also include pre-made address labels.

Buy a box for each participant and include in it the project instructions, some packing materials, and the routing list. Send each box to each participant. (Each participant should help to pay for the beginning costs. Let everyone know what they owe for the cost of the box, mailing, packing materials and etc.)

Organize the routing of the boxes so that each participant receives each doll once with the final exchange at the party to the original creator of the doll. It works best to have the same person send and the same person receive the next doll. Then it will make the complete round.

Give everyone one month to finish each task.

If everyone has email, the project leader can stay in touch with encouraging words to keep the project going.

At the end the project leader plans the unveiling party.
